Uploading to MP3 Player

1. To purchase songs directly from iTunes and download direct to your Apple device

Apple media devices such as iPhones, iPods and iPads, are designed to be compatible with Apple software only. For the purposes of downloading music off the internet direct to your Apple device, this means purchasing your music through the itunes store. To purchase music from The Secret Place in this fashion click here to go to our artists page on itunes.

If you have already purchased the music from The Secret Place and now wish to upload those files to your mp3 player....

While direct downloading to your device from any web site without using itunes may be possible, it is beyond the scope of our support to assist anyone in doing so. (see “Jailbreaking” below)

In order to purchase and download songs direct to your Apple device (such as an iPhone, ipod, or iPad) your device must be connected to the Internet and an iTunes Store account created. You will also need the Software Update iPhone 3.1 in order to search for, browse, preview, purchase, and download music from the iTunes Store directly to your device.

-  Tap iTunes to browse or purchase music from The Secret Place direct from the iTunes Store on your Apple device
-  Search the iTunes Store by tapping Search, entering The Secret Place – Ray Watson in the search field and then tapping Search. You can purchase individual songs or entire albums and can preview songs by tapping on the title of the song.
-  Tap the price, then tap Buy.
-  Sign into your account.
-  Your purchase is charged to your iTunes Store account.

Once your purchase begins downloading, it appears in the Downloads screen (under the More menu). Your purchased content is then automatically copied to your iTunes library. 2. I have already purchased music from The Secret Place website without using itunes, so what do I do now?

Download direct to your computer, then sync your computer to your Apple device.

If you have already purchased music from The Secret Place and wish to load those mp3 files to your Apple device, then read the instructions that came with your device. It usually requires something simple like dragging the files on your computer into your computers itunes library, and then syncing your device with your computer.

If you have an Apple device such as an iPod or iPad then follow these instructions:

To download a song onto your computer, right click on the links found on the download page and select "Save Target As". Select a folder destination on your computer to save them to. If you then want to put them into iTunes, you will need to open the folder in which you saved the songs and drag the mp3 files into the music library of iTunes. The next time you sync your iPod / iPad with your computer your iPod / iPad will be updated with the new songs that you dragged into the iTunes library. What about Jailbreaking?

Without modification, Apple devices will only run programs approved by Apple and distributed via the Apple App Store. However, these devices can be "jailbroken", allowing applications and programs that are not authorized by Apple to run on the device. Once jailbroken, iPad users are able to download many applications previously unavailable. This makes possible the downloading of music direct from the web to the device without having to go through ITunes. However, Apple claims jailbreaking voids the factory warranty on the device in the United States even though jailbreaking is legal. While direct downloading to your device from any web site without using itunes may be possible, it is beyond the scope of our support to assist anyone in doing so.

Downloading music direct to your smartphone

There are many smartphones on the market today, all them able to play mp3 files, but with different methods of application. Downloading music from the internet directly to your phone may be possible, but you will need to read the instructions that came with your smartphone. There are many videos on youtube that can be very helpful. If you have an Apple iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Blackberry, Android or any other popular brand smart phone we recommend you do a search on youtube on how to download music files to your smartphone.

1. In Idle mode, open the application list and select Internet.
2. Search for a file or application and download it.

How to download files direct to your Apple device without using iTunes

Downloads Lite for iPad - Download Manager
In order to download direct to your iPad you need a download manager. Downloads Lite for iPad is a fully featured download manager that lets you download files from Internet to your iPad. You can view or play the downloaded files right on your iPad or transfer them to your computer. Downloads Lite has all the essential features of the full version of Downloads except that it is limited to store up to 7 files.
