We Love to Sing Your Praises Lord

Do you pour your heart out when you worship? That’s the offering God is looking for. He is looking for the heart that is poured out. Mary poured out the perfume from her alabaster box but it was symbolic of the pouring out of her life. The pouring out of everything that was in her. And that’s the kind of worship God is looking for. There is a Divine exchange that takes place when we worship.

Song Lyrics

We love to sing, we love to sing your praises Lord
We love to sing, we love to sing to worship You

This sponteneous song came at the end of a worship service. The whole sponteneous section was considered too long for a podcast, so was divided into sections. The beginning section of this sponteneous song can be found here:

Through my Jesus I can stand (approx. 6 mins)

Song Notes

The church has a concept that church is for us and it is, but it is a two way thing. The Lord loves to come to church. Because He loves love and people love on him. That’s why He created family. Jesus healed 10 lepers but only one came back to give thanks. The lepers were looking for a healing. Jesus wanted them healed. But He was looking for something too. He wanted relationship. It doesn’t cost to say thank you.

Husbands, wives, children – it can really make a difference in a day to say thank you and express some form of gratitude. Sometimes all we need to do is give thanks. It can change your day, change your whole outlook on life, just to give thanks. Sometimes all we need to do is give thanks, it makes all the difference to our day. And it makes a difference to the Lord too.

I don’t know about you but I could just sing that for another hour, because there is something about pouring your heart out. Do you pour your heart out when you worship? That’s the offering He is looking for. He is looking for the heart that is poured out. Mary poured out the perfume from her alabaster box but it was symbolic of the pouring out of her life. The laying down of her life. The pouring out of everything that was in her. And that’s the kind of worship God is looking for.

The day is coming, and now is, when those who worship will worship in spirit and in truth. Some worship isn’t really motivated from a heart of thanksgiving. That’s not condemning anybody. That’s just to say where is our real worship? Is there a real pouring out in spirit and truth? Is there something resonating in our hearts? You’ve got to take the cork out and just let it flow. And sometimes it takes a while to prime the pump, but when it's going let it flow. Out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water.

There is an exchange that takes place when we worship – a divine exchange. It’s not just about telling God how much we love Him and how good He is. That’s how we are renewed with His divine life! There is a divine exchange that takes place. That’s why the Bible says, “Be filled with the spirit, speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs.” That’s how you get the life of God in you. You sing. Can it really be that simple? Yes, God made it simple, so that everybody can enjoy it. Let's just drink this morning. Let's just drink.

God, Thank you so much.

I encourage you to pour your heart out on Sunday mornings when you come. That’s why I love to sing new songs because it disengages people from the ho-hum, just looking at the words on the overhead projector, following the lines. It forces people to connect in some way, otherwise you feel disengaged. You feel it’s strange.

Lord we love you this morning. We really do want to be in Pursuit of Your presence. We really do want to pour our hearts out. We want to go to places we’ve not been before. We want to sing the new song, because we want new waters to swim in. We want to go to new depths and new places in you. We thank you Lord for every heart that came to worship you.
